San Antonio Tourists

We became typical tourists today. After spending most of the morning taking care of a few necessary chores, a group of Rally-ites traveled to downtown San Antonio for lunch in the revolving restaurant in the top of the Tower of the Americas.

After lunch we all had a pleasant stroll along the famous San Antonio River Walk.
Click on the above link to see some pictures of the River Walk that are a lot better than ours!

As we walked along the River Walk we kept seeing the steeple of a church up at street level and decided to check it out. Imagine our surprise to find that this Catholic church, St. Josephs, was built in the 1860's by a community of German Catholics! This will be particularly interesting to our friends the Alonsos of Bamburg, Germany.

We then headed back to the campground for more socialization over adult beverages and snacks.

Almost forgot! We went outside about 9:05 tonight and were able to see the International Space Station traverse the sky overhead! A first for us!

Stay Happy!

  1. Glad all's going so pleasantly. Stay down there for awhile... rather intense Springs snow storms passing through here (Colorado)this week.
Watch your waistlines with all that yummy-sounding BBQ stuff! (Just our envy surfacing...)
Enjoying your blog. Jim and Jackie
