Back in January or February, MMG's brother Fred and his wife Faith asked us to consider joining them on an Alaskan Cruise and Tour. We did, and the result was that we departed Cary on July 22, flying to Seattle where we met Fred and Faith. On the 23rd we flew from Seattle to Anchorage and the Alaskan Tour began!
Because internet connection was spotty (in the interior of Alaska) or prohibitively expensive (on board our cruise ship, The Island Princess), and because there was no way to contemporaneously write the blog then save it for later posting, we chose to use email to write daily reviews of our experiences, save them, and send them to a few friends and family as an internet connection became available.
Over the next few days we'll be posting those emails, converted to Blogspeak, here. You can experience the whole trip with us, day by day, but delayed by a couple of weeks.
