September 15, 2009 Moran, WY to Butte, MT

To the maps! South on US26/191 from Moran, WY to Jackson, WY, west out of Jackson, WY on WY22 which changes to ID33 to West Center, ID, then ID31 to Swan Valley, US26 to Idaho Falls, I-15 north to I-90/Butte. 323 miles.

We had all kinds of terrain today, from mountains -- 10 percent grades both up and down, to rolling hills covered with rye fields, to a valley as flat as any in Kansas.


Our last view of the Tetons. Clouds rolling in, aspens beginning to yellow:


And they used to advertise chewin' 'baccy on the barn roofs!


And I can still find a pretty flower, this one at the rest area where we stopped for lunch:
