One Day, Two Trips!

Sightseeing again! West on I-70 to UT 128 southwest to Moab, then US-191 south to UT-46 and CO-90 east to CO-141 north and east to US-50 north to Grand Junction. 291 miles! Too much!

Next time we would take two days and do the Grand Junction to Moab piece the first day and return to Grand Junction. The second day we'd go down south of Grand Junction and take CO 141 to the junction with CO-90 then return to Grand Junction. That way we'd see the best parts twice and skip the other miles.

Still, it was a great day. The drive on UT-128 along the Colorado River through what we've named the Red Rock Canyon is really beautiful. Here, let me show you!

What is MMG looking at? With Binoculars?

Petroglyphs! Right by the road across from the river. Made in 800-900 AD, we're told.

Today's nature's Bonsai.

The previous pictures were all taken along UT-128. The following are from along CO-141.

Blue Mountains?

And, of course, flowers. We've tried to choose flowers that we've never seen before or that we're pretty sure are unique to this area.

And, speaking of things we've never seen before, we'll close with this:

Can't stand to wait any longer. Tomorrow we make the break for Yellowstone NP. Two day trip. Will post if we have either wifi or a Verizon signal wherever we are tomorrow night -- exact route not yet decided!

Love to you all!
